関税法違反の疑いで逮捕されたのは、韓国籍の男（34）ら4。警察によると4人は20日午後、福岡空港から香港へ向かおうとした際、税関長の許可を受けずに現金約7億3000万円を持ち出そうとした疑い。
20日夜、福岡空港で手荷物のX線検査をしていた税関職員が多額の現金を持ち出す容疑者らを発見し警察に通報。警察が事情を聞いていた。
20日、福岡市では東京の男性会社員（29）が2人組の男に襲われてケガをし、現金約3億8000万円が入ったスーツケースを奪われる事件があった。男らは白いワンボックスカーで逃走していて、車はまだ見つかっていない。
警察は、男らが大金を持ち出そうとした動機などを調べることにしている。
