Korean treatment of modern prostitutes, can Americans understand Japan"s true situation in the Pacific war?
There has been a lot of argument over the Comfort issue lately. However, one thing has struck me. The surviving Comfort Women are treated with Great honor, and cared for at a special house outside Seoul.

Well as I have written in my blog, after The Pacific war the South Korean government established many centers of prostitution outside US bases in Korea.
http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2012/06/concerning-comfort-women-memorials.html
The South Korean government taught them English and basic etiquette. Their mission was to satisfy the s exual urges of US troops, and to bring dollars into the Korean economy.

So one would think that such women would also be regarded as heroines in Korean society, wouldn"t they?
Not at all. They are severely discriminated against.

Even the women who marry American military personnel in Korea, and come to America, are discriminated against by Koreans in America. Many Korean churches in America refuse membership to Korean women who marry American military people. They assume all such women are prostitutes.

I am sure there are English clubs and such things near US bases, where average people can meet US soldiers. We had such places in Japan. Imagine a Korean girl meeting a US soldier, and falling in love. But when they move to America, other Koreans in America will treat her like a non person.
With all the screaming against Japan about the war time Comfort Women, I think this is very strange.
When I see Korean people performing such acts as walking upon a Japanese flag;
이렇게 말하는 한국인이 일본기를 밟고 있는 것을 보면;

Or a child produces a painting like this;
I wonder, can there ever be be peace between us? That child who made that picture of Japan in flames was taught to do so.
The truth is, Japan developed Korea into a modern country in the 40 years or so that Korea was annexed to Japan.
Yet not all Koreans want to attack Japan. Some Korean groups in America are becoming concerned over all the attacks on Japan over the Comfort Women issue.
http://www.nj.com/bergen/index.ssf/2013/04/critics_cause_fort_lee_to_reconsider_monument_honoring_korean_wwii_prostitutes.html
They are concerned that constantly badgering Japan will cause Japanese/Korean relations to become worse. They are proposing that the inscriptions on the Comfort Women monuments in America be changed to something generic about world wide prostitution, something that does not single out Japan.
Many of my friends in Japan are trying to educate Americans on the Comfort Women issue. Their intention is that if Americans knew the truth, they would think better of Japan.
I am very sorry, but this is impossible.
Americans need to think that Japan was evil. That means the Pacific war was a just war. To Americans, it means that America made Japan into a good country through war. To understand the truth about the Comfort Women, Americans must admit that the war against Japan was not clearly a just war, possibly a mistake, this they can never do.
Americans just can never understand that the war in Europe and the war in the Pacific was different. They refuse to try to understand that.
So America will always be against Japan on the questions of history.
As things are now, Japanese will always have to apologize to Americans.
Americans will always criticize Japan and Germany about the war.
What Germany did in the war was terrible, but Americans are headed into race/ religious war against Asians and Muslims. Present day America is not a stable country. There is much hatred, about race, and about religion.
I have written much about Global Warming, and how the North American continent is shifting into desert. This will cause great starvation and hardship in America.
And I think that this will spark off a Great Religious Race war in the United States.
And then we sill see how Americans can conduct a terrible genocide. The average American certainly possesses enough weapons for this genocide, look at the chart below comparing the amount of weapons held by Law Enforcement and Military personnel, compared to the amount held by average Americans.
America"s long dark night is arriving.
