"Abes Charm Offensive Is There a Second Act?
The Japanese prime minister has put serious effort into diplomacy near and far but will it pay off?"
THE DIPLOMAT

China, and North and South Korea, are working overtime to subvert Japan"s relations with anyone and everyone. The ultimate target for China is the USA. The ultimate goal for China is global expansion.
The ultimate goal for North Korea is to take South Korea. The ultimate goal for South Korea is unrealistic and pie in the sky. If they think reunification will go smoothly and well for South Korea, they are wrong.
For South Korea, this ultimately is suicidal. The government and millions of people are making decisions based on emotional/psychological baggage and on pseudo history.
Ask a South Korean about the Japanese time in Korea. They nearly always answer with things like, "During the Japanese occupation."
Japan never occupied Korea. Korea was annexed with Korean agreement in 1910.
Try it asking about this. You will see that practically no Korean will step outside the bounds and say that from 1910-1945, they were full Japanese citizens and that hundreds of thousands volunteered for the Japanese Army. Many were officers, including Generals. Many allied prisoners were tortured by Koreans who where Japanese Soldiers.
Ask a Korean about the Japanese "occupation" from 1910 to 1945. Ask them exactly how Japan got to Korea. Where did Japanese land? Where were the big battles? Which Japanese and Korean officers led the fighting? How many ships were sunk? How many troops and civilians were killed?
These questions make Koreans uneasy. They often will answer, "You do not understand our history." The reality is that Koreans do not understand their history.
Ask Koreans about World War II. Was it bad for Korea? They normally answer yes, horrible. This begs questions: where was it horrible for Korea? Where were they attacked in Korea? How many died?
History is made through song, dance, books, and consensus. The songs, dances, books, and consensus are made by the puppet masters in Korea, China, and elsewhere.
They have said the Japanese took 400,000 sex slaves. Few people believed this, so they dialed it back to 200,000. Actually, it started at about 200, worked its way into the thousands, reached 400,000, and then reached a stable point at 200,000. Sort of a dial-a-lie.
Ianfu -- comfort women -- were and remain real. Korea exports comfort women every day still. World"s oldest profession, maybe. Maybe war came first. I have no idea. Hunting probably came first.
As for Japanese taking shiploads of Korean sex slaves, this begs many questions: Why did Koreans never fight back when boatloads of Korean girls and women were being taken? Were they cowards? Koreans were well armed.
Hundreds of thousands served in the Army to which the women allegedly were shipped. They had guns. Knives. Stones. Poisons.
Why did they not fight back? The answer is simple: Koreans were neck deep in the prostitution and still are, and Japanese and Koreans (who were Japanese) were taking prostitutes, not sex slaves.
