Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin"s spokesman denied on Friday South Korean media reports that the youngest daughter of the Russian premier is going to marry a son of a South Korean diplomat.
"A South Korean newspaper"s report about the supposed marriage of Vladimir Putin"s daughter is false," Dmitry Peskov said.
South Korea"s JoongAng Ilbo reported on Friday, citing an anonymous source, that 23-year-old Yekaterina Putina is going to marry the son of a retired South Korean admiral who worked as a military attache at the South Korean Embassy in Moscow in late 1990s.
According to the source, Putina met her 25-year-old Korean fiancee in July 1997 at a dance party at an international school in Russia. When the man left Russia with his father, the two stayed in touch and they are currently studying together in the United States.
Putin reportedly opposed the couple"s marriage at first, but later gave his consent. The paper also reported that Putina wanted to live and work in South Korea after the wedding.

러시아의 푸친 수상이 한국인의 서를 맞이한다.푸친 수상의 말낭카테리나씨가(24)가 윤씨(26)와 가까운 시일내에 결혼할 예정이라면 28일, 전해졌다.
카테리나씨와 윤씨는 8월 22일, 일본 홋카이도 아바시리의 리조트에서 휴양중이었던 윤씨의 아버지 윤·젼그 예비역 해군 제독(66)과 어머니를 방문하고 인사를 했다.이 과정을 잘 아는 아는 사람은 「2명은 당시 , 윤 전 제독과 함께 있던 권철현(쿠·쵸르홀) 주일 한국 대사에도 인사를 해, 윤 전 제독도 아들의 결혼을 인정했다고 (듣)묻고 있다」라고 이야기했다.
브라질에 체류중의 윤·젼그 전 제독은 27일, 중앙 일보와의 전화로, 「가까운 시일내에 결혼을 발표하지만, 그 때까지 보도를 앞에 두고 가지고 싶다」라고 요청하기도 했다.윤 전 제독은 1990년대말, 모스크바 대사관에서 무관으로서 근무, 현재는 재향군인회 국제 협력 실장을 맡고 있다.

곤다이사는 「2명의 젊은이가 함께 상대의 부모를 만나, 결혼을 목전으로 하고 있다고 하는 인상을 받았다」라고 전했다.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putins youngest daughter will marry a Korean man whose father worked at the Korean Embassy in Moscow as an admiral in the late 1990s, a source said yesterday.
According to the source, the Korean ambassador to Japan, Kwon Chul-hyeon, had dinner with the former admiral, Yoon Jong-gu, and his wife at a resort in Japan in August. At the dinner, Yoon said that his youngest son would marry Putins youngest daughter soon.
After a few hours passed, the couple came to the resort and talked with Kwon and Yoon. The source said Putins daughter was accompanied by two Russian bodyguards.
According to the source, Yoon told Kwon about the couple over dinner. The details: the girls name is Ekaterina Vladimirovna Putina, 23, and she is now studying in the United States with her 25-year-old Korean fiance. At first, Putin was against the marriage but warmed up to the Korean after meeting him. Putins daughter wants to live and work in Korea after the wedding.
Yoon, 64, said in a phone interview with the JoongAng Ilbo, “The couple will make an official announcement about their marriage. Please do not report their marriage now.”
An official who worked at the Korean Embassy in Russia in 2007 said, “When I was working in Russia, the couples love story was a hot issue. Many Russian people expected that the diplomatic relationship between Korea and Russia would be improved thanks to the couples love.”
A Korean immigrant in Russia who lives in the building where the younger Yoon lived said, “The Korean guy lived alone, and we never saw him bring the Russian girl to his room.”
According to sources, the couple met in July 1997 at a dance party at an international school in Russia. After the admirals term in Russia ended and his son left Russia, the couples love continued and the Russian girl visited Korea during the World Cup in June 2002.
