The South Korea international is currently under contract at Monaco, but is expected to leave the French club following their relegation last season.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, but latest reports suggest Kenny Dalglish is in pole position to take him to Anfield.
The Reds boss has been busy adding to his midfield this summer and has now turned his attention to other areas of his side, with Park wanted to bolster his attacking options.
