불러시아에의 군용함의 매각 계약 재검토도

프랑스가 러시아에 대형의 군용함 2척을 매각하는 계약을 둘러싸고, 영국등에서 비판의 소리가 높아지는 가운데, 프랑스의 오란드 대통령은 우크라이나 정세를 돌아 다니는 향후의 러시아의 대응하는 대로에서는, 인도를 금지하는 등 계약을 재검토할 가능성을 시사했습니다.


이 계약은 프랑스의 조선 회사가 러시아의 무기 공사와 2011년에 묶은 것으로, 「미스트랄급」의 강습 양륙함 2척을 총액 12억 유로(일본엔으로 대략 1600억엔)로 매각한다고 하는 것입니다.

이 계약을 돌아 다녀서는, 우크라이나 정세가 긴박한 뒤, 러시아에 대해서 무기를 매각하는 것에의 염려의 소리가 잇따르고 있고, 21일에는영국의 캬 멜론 수상이「이러한 계약을 이행하는 것은 영국에서는 생각할 수 없는 것이다」라고 말하고, 비판하고 있었습니다.

단지, 계약의 재검토에는 거액의 위약금이 발생하고, 조선 회사의 고용에도 큰 영향이 나올 우려가 지적되고 있기 때문에, 향후, 각국으로부터의 비판이 높아지는 가운데 오란드 대통령은 어려운 대응을 강요받게 될 것 같습니다.

The prime minister didn"t spell out what new sanctions should be considered, although he did urge other countries to follow Britain and halt defense sales to Russia. It was "unthinkable" that the U.K. could follow through on the sale of two warships to Russia as France is planning to do, he said.

France is planning to sell Russia two Mistral-class carriers, designed to launch amphibious attacks with landing craft, helicopters and tanks, in a deal worth €1.2 billion ($1.64 billion). The U.S. and other allies have called on the government of President François Hollande to cancel the contract, arguing the ships will significantly enhance Russian naval power at a time when the Ukraine crisis has raised tensions with the Kremlin to their highest levels since the Cold War.
