If these tests are biased towards Americans, how come East Asians do so well on them? You"d think that African-Americans would be more familiar with American tests than the Japanese, yet the average Japanese score is 20 points higher than the average African American score.

Internet IQ tests are terrible. Almost all of them inflate the results. But just because internet IQ test are bad doesn"t mean that IQ testing in general isn"t useful.
In general, there are two major factors in determine whether or not a country is nice to live in - the average IQ of the country, and if the country had a communist government in the last 50 years. Look how fast China, a reasonably high IQ country, has been improving since they started ditching Communist economic policies.
Or look at South Korea 55 years ago - they had suffered 50 years of Japanese occupation, and a brutal war fought over their land. Their standard of living was comparable to most sub-Saharan African countries. How come South Korea is now a decent place to live, while every single country in sub-Saharan African is a crap-hole? (And the least crappy country of the lot is the one with the most white people?)

Not true - the higher a person"s IQ is, the longer they live, the fewer crimes they commit, and the more money they make (up to point - correlation between income and IQ drops at about 120, but holds for the bulk of humanity.)
