I"m an American teaching in Korea now. I live in Sanbon, which is like 20 minutes south of Seoul. I have never felt in danger in Sanbon, Seoul, or anywhere else I"ve been and I live in a dark alley. Foreign women say the same thing. This is a great country, and I love every minute of being here.

south korea is very safe. I lived in 3 different cities and stayed out till dawn drinking and partying and never had any problems. This website has great information about teaching in korea from the perspective of an English teacher who has been there.
