해외로부터 본 카타카나의 인상 「phonetikana」
일본어는 해외에 잡아 어떤 인상을 받게 되고 있는지, 그 편린을 볼 수가 있는 것이, 이번 소개하는 카타카나 폰트 「phonetikana」입니다.
카타카나의 말의 영향을 이미지 해 만들어낼 수 있었다는 일입니다.말에서는 능숙하게 나타낼 수 있는없지만, 보면 웬지 모르게 납득할 수 있는 느낌이 듭니다.이쪽의 폰트를 사용해 여러가지 작품이 공개되고 있었으므로 아래와 같이에 첨부라고 일어납니다.

카타카나의 일부가 영어가 되어 있고, 카타카나를 읽을 수 없는 해외쪽에서도 소리는 잡을 수 있다고 하는 구조가 되어 있습니다.하나의 폰트에 형태와 소리를 갖게한 새로운 타입의 폰트입니다.동물의 울음 소리 등은 나라에 들러 다른 표현이라고 말하는 것은 잘 (듣)묻는 곳입니다만, 이렇게 해 문자 자체에 소리를 투영 시켜 만든다는 것은 새롭고 재미있다고 생각합니다.
이 폰트나 typography는 michael johnson 와 그가 인솔하는 디자인 팀 「johnson banks」에 의해서 제작된 것이라고 합니다.「johnson banks」에서는 이 그 밖에도 여러가지 크리에이티브인 프로젝트를 행하고 있기 때문에, 흥미가 있는 분은 그 쪽도 부디.

driven by trips to japan and continual frustration at being unable to read the language,
michael johnson and his team at johnson banks have been trying to design a katakana typeface
that has english phonetic sounds embedded: "phonetikana".
