「남방 제도 및 그 외의 제도란,
소후간의 남쪽의 남방 제도
(오가사와라 군도, 니시노시마 및 화산열도를 포함한다.)
및바다의 도리도
및 마나미토리시마를 말해, 이러한 제도의 영해내의 수역을 포함한다

2. For the purpose of this Agreement, the term
"Nanpo Shoto and other islands"
means Nanpo Shoto south of Sofu Gan (including the Bonin islands, Rasairo Island,
and the Volcano Islands) and
“Parece Vela ”
and Marcus Island, including their territorial waters
