政府は３０、３１の両日にチャーター機２機ずつを武漢に派遣し、約７００人の韓国人を退避させる計画だった。
これに関し韓国外交部当局者は３０日、日程に変更が生じたと明らかにしながら、「変更後のスケジュール通りに国民ができるだけ早期に帰国できるよう、中国政府と協議している」と説明した。午前１０時と正午に韓国の仁川空港から各１機のチャーター機を派遣予定だったが、この当局者は「今晩出発する可能性が高い」と述べた。
また、政府はチャーター機を２機ではなく、１機に減らす方向で計画を見直しているようだ。座席の間隔を取らずに詰めて座れば、１機で問題ないと判断したとされる。
