일렉트릭·라이트·오케스트라 (Electric Light Orchestra)는,영국의버밍함 출신의락 밴드.더·무브로부터의 발전이라고 하는 형태로1970년에 활동을 개시,1971년에 레코드 데뷔.1970년대부터1980년대에 걸쳐 세계적인 인기를 얻었다.1970년대의 미국에서 가장 많은(빌보드 40위 이내의) 히트곡을 가지는 밴드이며[1], 「비틀즈보다 비틀즈다운 곡을 가진 밴드」라고도 말해졌다.약칭ELO(이·엘·오).「락과 클래식의 융합」을 목표로 해, 전성기에는 「세계, 최소로 최고의 오케스트라」라고 하는 칭호를 얻었다.
